Our Story
Our Story
Stream2Sea was founded in 2015 in Wauchula, FL after a dive trip in Palau made Autumn Blum, our CEO and a Cosmetic Chemist, realize that the products we put on our bodies can be highly toxic to our fragile aquatic ecosystem. Today, Stream2Sea has the only mineral based sunscreen on the planet that’s been tested and proven as safe as possible for freshwater fish, saltwater fish, and coral larvae, and has passed the stringent HEL Labs Protect Land + Sea certification.
Whether your adventure takes you to the top of a mountain, the bottom of the ocean, or to the treehouse in the backyard, Stream2Sea products were developed to never let you down. Made for the conscious individual who cares about what they put on their body and into our planet, for people who care by people who care. We know that the products we use on a daily basis can and does impact our environment, and that together… we can do better!
Stream2Sea products do not contain any ingredients known or suspected to harm our blue planet. Today, Stream2Sea has the only mineral based sunscreen on the planet that’s been tested and proven as safe as possible for freshwater fish, saltwater fish, and coral larvae.

Our Founder
Our woman-owned, Florida-based manufacturing facility delivers everything from mineral-based sunscreen, to shark-free squalene, to plant-based, chemical free sanitizers. Stream2Sea products do not contain any ingredients known or suspected to harm our blue planet. We have the ONLY mineral based sunscreen on the planet that’s been tested and proven as safe as possible for freshwater fish, saltwater fish, and coral larvae.
Our founder and formulator, Autumn Blum, is a renowned entrepeneur, cosmetic chemist, ingredient aficionado, and life-long ocean-advocate. Ms. Blum has presented to the National Academies of Science, testified before the Senate, and helped influence notable bans on toxic ingredients in Hawaii, the Florida Keys, the Virgin Islands, and other worldwide tourist destinations negatively impacted by chemical-based personal care products.

Reef Safer*: Going Beyond "Reef Safe"
At Stream2Sea, we use the term “reef safer” to reflect our commitment to transparency, rigorous testing and continuous improvement to minimize our environmental impact. Unlike vague “reef safe” claims, “reef safer” acknowledges the complexity of ocean health and our — ongoing efforts — to protect marine ecosystems responsibly.
